AIS（1月27日-1月28日）

COURSE OBJECTIVE课程目标:
The aim of this course is to enable the participants to safe use of AIS ship installation at sea.
At the end of this course, participants should be able to:

 Explain the SOLAS Chapter V carriage requirement regarding AIS ship installation;
 Explain the purpose of AIS;
 State the differences between the AIS data and ARPA data;
 Describe the AIS data at a user level, including safety/security related message;
 Demonstrate the vector type indicating the ship’s motion over the ground and its benefit and drawback;
 Describe the AIS configuration;
 Use of AIS in conjunction with ARPA and ECIDS;
 Use of AIS in areas with security or piracy implications.
